Notes For Contributors
Manuscripts to be submitted to TurkishJournal of Business Ethics must be in the Turkish or English languages and conform to the standards put forward in the Publication Manual of American Psychological Association (5th Edition). The submission of one electronic additional copy (which should be written in Word 6.0 or in a later version) as attachment to e-mail editor@isahlakidergisi.com is preferred and welcomed.
The manuscripts should be sent together with a letter signed by all the authors. Submission of a paper implies that the manuscript has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that if accepted it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in Turkish or in any other language, without the written consent of the publisher.
Original and not-published-elsewhere works are preferred. But published works are still welcomed provided that the necessary publication information (where and when it is published) is supplied. In translations, title of source text (article or book), full name of its author, place and year of publication, volume, issue number, pages and other necessary information should be given. It is essential that either the necessary permission from the copyright-owner to publish the translation is granted or the work is out of copyright reservation.
All submissions will be first reviewed and assessed by the Editorial and Advisory Boards in terms of subject matter, contents, suitable presentation and accordance with spelling rules. The manuscripts which are found suitable and acceptable by the mentioned boards will be submitted for scientific assessment to referees who are well-known and distinguished by their works in related branches. Referees' reports are secret. Authors have to take into consideration the suggestions, criticisms and corrections made by both Referees and Editorial-Advisory Boards. Authors are responsible for opinions expressed in the articles. Quotation from the articles in the journal is allowed in condition that the journal should be indicated and acknowledged as source. Quoting person or institutions are responsible by law for distortions. Submissions are not returned, whether they are published or not. Technically unsuitable manuscripts will have to be adjusted by the editor for the sake of harmony and unity in the Journal. No payment will be made for published articles.
Types of Contributions
Original theoretical works, research reports, literature reviews, software reviews, book reviews and announcements.
General: Manuscripts should be typed on one side of regular A4 white paper, with 2,5 cm. margins on all four sides / on the left, right, top and the bottom (which means the text should cover an area of 16 x 24,7 cm), 12 point font size Times New Roman, 1,5 spaced, in plain text format, without hyphens at the end of lines. Pages should be numbered consecutively. The cover page should contain: (i) the title of the article, (ii) author(s), (iii) complete affiliation(s), and (iv) e-mail address, fax and telephone number of the corresponding author. The Editors reserve the right to adjust style to certain standards of uniformity.
Abstracts: An abstract of no more than 200 words should accompany each paper, typed on a separate sheet following the title page.
Key Words: Authors should include up to six keywords with their article. Keywords should be selected from the APA list of index descriptors, unless otherwise agreed with the Editor.
Text: Follow this order when preparing manuscripts: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Main text, Acknowledgements, Appendix, References, Figure Captions and then Tables. Do not import the Figures or Tables into your text. The corresponding author should be identified with an asterisk and footnote. All other footnotes (except for table footnotes) should be identified with superscript Arabic numbers.
References: All publications cited in the text should be present in a list of references following the text of the manuscript.
Tables: Tables should be numbered consecutively and given a suitable caption and each table printed on a separate sheet. No vertical rules should be used. Tables should not duplicate results presented elsewhere in the manuscript, (e.g. in graphs)
Footnotes
The use of footnotes should be minimized. Footnotes to the text should be numbered consecutively throughout the contribution with superscript Arabic numerals.
Proofs
Proofs will be sent to the author (first named author if no corresponding author is identified of multi-authored papers) and should be returned within 48 hours of receipt. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors. Any queries should be answered in full. Please note that authors are urged to check their proofs carefully before return, since the inclusion of late corrections cannot be guaranteed.
